Augusta is the state capital for Maine and is America’s third-least populated state capital city. Back in August 1797, Maine’s capital was named after Augusta Dearborn–daughter of American soldier and statesman Henry Dearborn. Augusta is notable for the National Historic Landmark named Fort Western, a former British colonial outpost on the Kennebec River that today is the oldest wooden fort in the United States. Augusta is also America’s easternmost state capital. Hidden in this puzzle are things about the beautiful city of Augusta. How fast can you find them all? Good luck!
