Corpus Christi is a Texas city on the Gulf of Mexico. It’s tucked into a bay and its beaches are sheltered by Padre and Mustang islands. The Padre Island National Seashore is home to migratory birds and endangered Kemp’s ridley sea turtles. The city, which means “Body of Christ” in Latin, was named by the Spanish explorer Alonso Alvarez de Pineda after discovering the bay on the Catholic feast day of Corpus Christi. It is also known as the “Sparkling City by the Sea”. What are more things this city is known for? Find them all in this puzzle!
